A break from blogging

If you’ve followed my posts on Love, Lust and Laptops lately, you’ll see I’ve needed to take a little break from writing. I’ve managed to write a bit and do some editing on Vice. However, I now find myself needing to take a break from blogging.

I haven’t shared much on social media but a close family member is battling cancer right now and the family is rallying. All our spare time is going to her so we can spend time with her. It’s been a very difficult journey and will only get more difficult as the days go on.

I’ve had to cancel my upcoming guest bloggers, but promise to bring them back as soon as I can. I just can’t think about romance right now. In fact, it’s the furthest thing from my mind. My focus is on my kids and my husband and the rest of our family.

As we go into this Easter season, I wish you and yours a peaceful holiday full of love and health. Tell your families you love them.  Cherish them and keep them close. You may see me pop onto social media here and there over the coming days, just for a distraction, but otherwise I’ll be quietly sitting over here in my corner. I promise to return to writing and blogging as soon as I can and ask that you keep us in your prayers.

  1. You’re human too and sometimes, as writers, we forget we don’t run on batteries. Take care of your family and yourself first. We’ll be here.
    Prayers and hugs.

  2. Hi Rosanna! I am so sorry to hear about your bad news! That is a horrible thing to deal with and I send all of my love & hugs to you & your family!! While I am going to miss your blogging, I would much rather see that fall by the wayside for you & your family! And as an avid reader, it is pretty obvious but I will say it anyways, if you have to choose between writing & blogging – my request will ALWAYS be WRITING!! That being said, nothing, I mean NOTHING trumps family! So HUGS to you, HUGS to your husband (you can give him the hug for me 🙂 ), HUGS to your kids and HUGS to your family in this hard time! Take all the time you need for YOU! Us readers, fans, e-friends and stalkers will still be here for you whenever you need a distraction, and will wait for you to be able to return to your full glorious self! HUGS HONEY!!!!

  3. So sad to hear what you’re going through, two of my aunts are survivors of cancer, a very good friend of mine lost her mother to cancer so I have a good idea what you’re going through. Stay strong and I hope your family member beats cancer. My thoughts are with you and your family right now.
