If you’ve followed my posts on Love, Lust and Laptops lately, you’ll see I’ve needed to take a little break from writing. I’ve managed to write a bit and do some editing on Vice. However, I now find myself needing to take a break from blogging.
I haven’t shared much on social media but a close family member is battling cancer right now and the family is rallying. All our spare time is going to her so we can spend time with her. It’s been a very difficult journey and will only get more difficult as the days go on.
I’ve had to cancel my upcoming guest bloggers, but promise to bring them back as soon as I can. I just can’t think about romance right now. In fact, it’s the furthest thing from my mind. My focus is on my kids and my husband and the rest of our family.
As we go into this Easter season, I wish you and yours a peaceful holiday full of love and health. Tell your families you love them. Cherish them and keep them close. You may see me pop onto social media here and there over the coming days, just for a distraction, but otherwise I’ll be quietly sitting over here in my corner. I promise to return to writing and blogging as soon as I can and ask that you keep us in your prayers.
