Predator’s Salvation Cover Reveal!

Today I get to reveal a very special cover. Of course, all my books are special to me, but Predator’s Salvation, Gemini Island Shifters 8, means a great deal because it is the final book in my shape shifter series. I am thrilled to reveal Connor and Elaine. Don’t you think artist Dar Albert did an amazing job?  You can see more of her work at: http://www.wickedsmartdesigns.com/

Thank you, Dar, and everyone at Liquid Silver Publishing.

I love this cover! Not only does it capture the flavor of these romances and their unique setting in Northern Ontario, it captures the essence of the main characters of this romance. Connor, the protective friend-turned-lover, shelters Elaine, the grieving widow. She clings to him, as she longs to do, hiding the pain that has devastated her. And yet we glimpse the animal inside her too, the predator who won’t be denied.

This love story was difficult to write but I’m so glad I explored Connor and Elaine’s story and I hope my readers find it a satisfying conclusion to this series.

Predator’s Salvation releases March 20 at Liquid Silver Publishing.

Please note- if you have not read the previous books, you won’t want to jump ahead, as spoilers will be revealed as you go forward in the series. Do enjoy them in order.

Stay tuned for buy links.

Lying in Shadows. Sofia Grey.

Lying in Shadows

lyinginshadows

Lying in Shadows is the first in the Event Horizon series of contemp romantic suspense stories. Some of the characters may already be familiar to readers, from the Talisman series, and the standalones Perfect Stranger and Pole Position.

It’s as much romance as it is suspense, set in a high-tech global company, where good people sometimes do bad things. Just like real life.

P.S. – Event Horizon are a rock band. This could be a whole new genre – hot rocker romantic suspense?

Author bio:

Romance author Sofia Grey spends her days managing projects in the corporate world and her nights hanging out with wolf shifters and alpha males. She devours pretty much anything in the fiction line, but she prefers her romances to be hot, and her heroes to have hidden depths. When writing, she enjoys peeling back the layers to expose her characters’ flaws and always makes them work hard for their happy endings.

Music is interwoven so tightly into my writing that I can’t untangle the two. Either I’m listening to a playlist on my iPod, have music seeping from my laptop speakers, or there’s a song playing in my head – sometimes on auto-repeat.

Short Excerpt

Marcus was just so damned nice. Marianne had almost forgotten what good company he was and how easily they slipped back into being friends. She sensed there was something he wasn’t telling her. He’d lost weight in the past year, and had new worry lines on his forehead and shadows under his eyes. She almost asked if the rumours about him and Louisa were true, but managed to stop herself in time.

Was this the right moment to ask if his wife was on the verge of leaving him? Was there ever a good time?

“Thank you for walking me back.” It was all of two blocks, but she enjoyed having him at her side.

“Sleep well.” He made no move to leave.

Silence hung between them. Marianne should turn on her heel and walk into the apartment building, but she didn’t. What was it about Marcus that drew her so much? He was a complication she couldn’t afford.

“You too.” The quick hug she gave him was impulsive. Air-kissing cheeks was as close as they’d been up to now. The squeeze he gave her made her pulse quicken, but she moved. Stepped free. “Goodnight, Marcus.” She didn’t look back at him. She couldn’t.

Excerpts:

“Like I said, you have the right to remain silent.” Seth slid his arm around her hips and pulled her even closer. “You have the right to scream in ecstasy.” He lowered his sculpted mouth until she could almost taste him.

****

He braced himself on either side of her outstretched arms and whispered, “You have the right to remain silent.” There went the unmistakable click of a handcuff. Jessica bucked against him when she realized Seth was arresting her.

Her fog of pleasure cleared in a heartbeat. “What? Wait a minute! I didn’t do anything!”

Her protests went unheeded. He secured Jessica’s other wrist and once she was cuffed, pulled her up, and turned her to face him.

His wicked grin spoke of sensual plans that had nothing to do with speeding tickets. “No, you haven’t, querida. But you will.”

They were the only two people out on a deserted back road in the middle of the night. The only car that would have passed by was sitting idle right behind hers. She was at his mercy and they both knew it.

Jessica leaned back until she could see her own reflection in his sunglasses. Her eyes were wide and her lips trembled. It wasn’t fear she saw there. No, what she saw was an aroused woman steeped in anticipation. Seth wasn’t going to hurt her. Everything about this said he was about to make her feel nothing but pleasure. He urged her snug against the muscular planes of his body and she closed her eyes in bliss upon contact. Everywhere she was soft and welcoming, he was hard and demanding.

“Like I said, you have the right to remain silent.” Seth slid his arm around her hips and pulled her even closer. “You have the right to scream in ecstasy.” He lowered his sculpted mouth until she could almost taste him.

****

She groaned and shoved to her feet. “Here’s why I need to skip dessert and you don’t have to give it a second thought. You are in perfect shape.” She held her arms out at her sides and let them drop. “Some of us aren’t in perfect shape, Seth.”

“No. Jess, I have to be fit because it’s part of my job. I like to exercise, always have, which is good because I enjoy the hell out of food. I also enjoy being with people who enjoy food. As for the perfect shape.” He gave her a once-over and admired her wealth of curves. “I’m looking at it.”

She lowered to her seat again and murmured, “Sure, if you have a fascination for round.”

“I do. I find it sexy as hell. Round, curvy, lush. Whatever you want to call it, and as long as it’s associated with you, that’s where my fascination lies.”

She gave him a sidelong glance. “You’re kidding me, right?”

“About finding you fascinating? No. I’ve never been more serious about anything.”
