It’s been far too long since I’ve been able to share some of my recommended reads here on the blog, so I’m going to remedy that today! I have been so fortunate as a reader lately because I’ve managed to pick up so many books that tick all my boxes. I’m pleased to be able to share them with you, and I urge you to grab them as soon as you can.

The Tenant by Katrina Jackson
I loved The Tenant! This is the story of a young man who inherits a house from his great-aunt, only to discover it’s haunted…and by an very intriguing ghost. I loved that we see the action from his point of view, but also from the ghost’s. Noel and Ruby are an unforgettable couple, and Katrina Jackson has managed to make hauntings so incredibly sexy. A truly compelling story!

Dead Sound by Anise Eden
Now, full disclosure, I had an opportunity to beta read Anise Eden’s Dead Sound, and I’ve since reread it. I absolutely loved this story. Anise is so good at crafting romantic suspense stories, and the plot here felt so fresh and unique to me. I think it’s an awesome start to the series, and I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2! It’s coming out in October, so preorder it now.

Renovation of Love by Meka James
We all know I have a soft spot for hunky contractors, so Meka James’ Renovation of Love hit me where I live. Marcel and Cynthia’s second chance romance is full of chemistry and soft, tender moments. This story filled me with such warmth, and I can’t wait to catch up with the rest of the series.

The Widow of Pale Harbor by Hester Fox
Hester Fox is a new-to-me author, and boy, am I glad I found her! The Widow of Pale Harbor is just the sort of book I love, and if you’re looking for something creepy and romantic for Halloween, look no further. I loved the gothic atmosphere, the ominous tension, and the glorious romance.

Bishop Takes Knight by McKenna Dean
McKenna Dean’s Redclaw Origins series has been on my to-be-read list for a while, and I’m so glad I started reading it! I am only halfway through, but I had to add it to my list because it has been so entertaining thus far. It’s set in 1955 and it’s about a woman who is down on her luck. She winds up at a job interview…only to find the company is not quite what she expected. I won’t say any more than that, because you just have to check it out for yourself. This book is full of humour and intrigue, and I’m loving it.
I hope you have lots of new options for your ereader! Happy reading.
